The First Step

We all have to individually answer the question: If I died tonight, do I know with an absolute certainty where I would be?

Heaven and hell are real and where we spend eternity is our choice! On the Day of Judgment God will not be asking you about your sins. Those have been taken care of by Jesus’ sacrifice for all mankind. He is only going to ask you one question: What did you do with my Son, Jesus?

We are all sinners and as sinners the Bible tells us there is no doubt that short of making Jesus Lord of our life, we will spend eternity in hell; separated from God … forever. Hopefully you have made the decision to ask Him to forgive your sins and take over the throne of your life.  If not, I suggest that you open your heart and simply ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your heart, just as He has promised.

John 3:16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen.
