It is the vision of this ministry to see the Bride of Christ walk with God with a repentant and obedient heart and a never-ceasing hunger for His presence in her daily lives. Without that desire her time here on earth is destined to fall far short of His best. Walking with Jesus is the most exciting and rewarding part of becoming a Christian. So many simply come to the altar and believe in God, receiving Him as Savior but never opening up to make Him Lord. We were not called by the Master to remain at the foot of the Cross – the Cross is just the beginning.

When He truly becomes Lord, a whole new life opens up. He has an untold number of wonders to show us in this life and throughout eternity. It is our passion that you not lose one minute of the joy that walking with Him brings into your life. This ministry is dedicated to helping all who desire it to establish a personal, individual and fulfilling walk with Jesus. The key to that walk is to become intimate with the one you are walking, putting your trust in God and your faith in God, recognizing that it’s a lifetime commitment – it’s a long distance marathon and not a sprint.

Many years of mistakes have ultimately taught me that the most elementary part of walking with someone is to … walk with them. Not in front, not behind but right alongside. Being human we somehow seem to forget that’s the will of God for our life, and many times we are surprised when we stop hearing His voice. Those times in the valley alone have taught me to stop and look for the Master, keep my eye on Him and match His pace, which somehow always seems to be just right. For that reason these three scriptures underpin this ministry:

• Matt 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
• Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if  any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and sup with him, and he with Me.
• Rom 8:29 For whom He foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among man brethren.

VISION

MISSION

Minister the gospel to a lost world; Make disciples of all who believe the promises of God; Disciple those who have made Jesus their Lord to be conformed into His image and become all they were called to be in His Kingdom; Assist in the building of a network of churches committed to the vision and the statement of faith of Walk with God Ministries; Assist pastors in developing a deeper personal relationship with Jesus through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit; and Assist pastors in discipling and leading their flocks in moving on from the cross of salvation to spiritual maturity under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible – We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, ESV 

1 Thessalonians 2:13 “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.” ESV

The Trinity – We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1. The Father: The first Person of the Trinity orders and directs all things according to His own purpose, pleasure and grace. He has decreed all things that come to pass for His own glory. He graciously involves Himself in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Matt 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. ESV

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, ESV

2. The Son: Jesus is both the eternal Son of God and virgin-born Son of man. Fully God and fully man, He surrendered nothing of His deity during His early life. Having led a sinless life, He satisfied the Father’s justice concerning sin by His death. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His physical ascension, and His visible return to this earth to establish His earthly kingdom. We believe that He is now in heaven at the right hand of God, where He personally advocates and intercedes on behalf of all who have put their faith in Him.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ESV

Heb 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ESV

3. The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father to bring glory to the Son and convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells permanently and seals every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, comforter, and guide, empowering each believer with selected spiritual gifts.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. ESV

1 Cor 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, ESV

Salvation – We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ESV

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” ESV

Eternal Life – We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ESV

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. ESV

Unity – We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. ESV

Eph 4:1-3 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ESV
